Yes! Puddledock Woods is happy to accommodate guests 365 days a year.
Absolutely! We love furry friends at Puddledock woods. You are most welcome to bring your dog(s) for wild camping, or any of our other accomodation offerings – There is a small surcharge of £1 per dog, per night.
Please kindly note that we have two well-behaved German Shepherds of our own (Pip and Shep), along with nine cats. We therefore kindly ask that dogs are kept on leads through the main courtyard and facilities areas.
Unfortunately, no – or we wouldn’t have a woodland anymore! Seasoned logs are available to purchase (£10 per bag), or you are most welcome to bring your own seasoned logs (nothing with nails in, though, please).
We also kindly ask that you do not chop or interfere with any of the fallen trees around the site, as these are home to many of Puddledock’s wonderful wildlife.
Unlike other campsites, we don’t have an outright ban on music – we love music and we’re not fun police! We only kindly ask that you are neighbourly, use good judgement, and consider other guests if you are planning to bring a speaker or crack out the guitar during your stay!
If you are a large group or planning a party, please contact us prior to booking and we’ll be most happy to reserve a discrete area of the woodland to minimize disturbance to other guests.
Unfortunately not – We have a car parking area by the entrance that is no more than five minutes walk from the furthest point of the woodland.
Wheelbarrows are available for your use to transport items to and from the car.
Camper vans are accommodated in our separate lakeside paddock.
Please note that we are not able to provide an electrical hookup.
If you have any disability or accessibility requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact us prior to booking and we will be happy to advise.
By its nature, the ground of the woodland is uneven in places, however we will be most happy to assist where we can. Please also kindly note that due to the presence of steps in our Shepherds Huts and Lodge, these may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.
If you have any issues during our stay, please call us on 01227 694 150 or return to the facilities area, where a member of our team will be happy to discuss and address any concerns.
We pride ourselves on being friendly, helpful and accommodating hosts and wish for all of our guests to be comfortable and content during their time here. We have a zero tolerance policy on antisocial behaviour.
